...can you hope for in one day? (Not including Robo and Angela who were slaving away in the kitchen a few doors away!) I seriously love it when people either just pop in because they were passing by or call to say they hope you're in because they're on their way. Had lots of visitors today which put a smile on everyone's face here.
Ali wanted an update on the plot.... seeds in trays, spuds chitting, soil broken up (borrowed a bit of machinery from a friend, ) and more to do tomorrow. Thanks Dad, Phil and L - sometimes a bit of muscle is very much needed! Looking forward to your help tomorrow Doodle ;o)
On the lookout for a 10ft gate if anyone has a spare lurking behind the shed?
what a lovely picture of you all! So many visitors in one day - what a blessing!!
ReplyDeleteSorry but no 10ft gate in our shed - only a go-kart - if thats any use!!
Etta, Just clicked on your photograph and wondering who is the girl on Charlene's right with the ginger hair? She looks so familiar I'm sure I know her, or else she just looks like someone I know - but can't remember who it is!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNo 10ft gate here either sorry!
Do you use Freecycle? There's always something like gates being given away. Great to see Gav and Fiona too!!!
ReplyDeleteLaura, never mind the gate, some days we need a revolving door! I love it and you're right, it's a blessing. Disappointed re the gate... but could vrooom the go kart to keep the horses at bay....
ReplyDeleteRhoda, thanks for dropping by! Nice to "meet" you. The red-head is my sis in law - Fiona Nicholl as was - from Randalstown originally. Worked on a few PCI teams here and once in Malawi? Ring any bells?
Pauline, good to hear from you too and ta for swinging by. I'm not sure how active freecycle is here, but you're the second person to mention it today so I'll check it out. The wee nipper in the blue stripey jumper at the front is Gavin's wee lad.
We've used Freecycle quite a few times. Mostly to get rid of stuff we don't use any more, but we also got a great wee kitchen for Alice, which she loves playing with. Also, so do most of the boy children who visit too. It is such a fantastic resource. Someone gave away a car recently!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought that was Gav and Fiona's wee boy, is it Sam? He doesn't look particularly happy to be having his pic taken, but looks like a right wee cutie.
No, at the minute, the name doesn't ring any bells, so maybe she looks like someone I know!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture Etta!
ReplyDeleteI met Stephen Allen on the bus recently on the way to work. He hasn't changed a bit. Does he have a picture in the attic?
Must get your email address of Charlene and I can send you a blog invite if you want to nosey at a couple of pics.
You all look great!
