Today was all about a pre-recorded programme for Radio Ulster - to be broadcast on Burns Night. This toast came at the end of the addressing - and stabbing of - the haggis.
Ahhhh, I remember having Haggis, neeps and tatties in a restaurant in Glasgow exactly three years ago. I also remember being violently, violently ill that weekend, but that was before the haggis and therefore, presumably, totally unrelated!!
Am holding my breath... no ill effects yet! Would happily skip the haggis in future and not a big turnip fan, but the cock-a-leekie soup and cranachan (spelling?) were wonderful.
Aw, I love haggis. It was always nice to get proper Scottish haggis when I was over seeing my now wife as she studied over there. Neeps and tatties all round!
